I get the motion controls being potentially improved with this setup. I also see the improvement for pointer control when the reticule goes off-screen. But I don't see on-screen pointers being as accurate. With the Wii you have one camera and two reference points (two led clusters on the sides of the bar.) With Move you have the camera and one reference point (the glowing ball.) If the ball is in the same space but the direction pointing changes by swinging the back of it around, the Move will have to augment its direction with motion control. I think this is why it has to recalibrate just to point.
