what a stupid thread. They're not releasing the same time and they're not on the same system so how can you get it over FFXIII?

Bad attempt to try to create a franchise war.

I'm not sure wheter I'm gonna buy FFXIII or not, but I definitely wanna give it a try.
In what regards to The Last Story, I'm all hyped up about it, so I guess chances are pretty high.
Xenoblade seems to be awesome too.
Good days for JRPGers in general and for Wii owners in particular.

I'm not getting FFXIII, as it seems to be a even more linear experience than most JRPG. I couldn't find anything about The Last Story and, as such, I don't know if it is my kind of game.

I've played both Mistwalker games. They're slightly above average. I doubt it'll be a masterpiece.

I had no idea what the Last Story was until you mentioned it. I'm getting FFXIII instead but no right away.

I see you'll rather side with those Patrician, Optimates Sentator lackies of Pompey.

Last Story is vaporware. I'll take a real game over vaporware any day of the week.

Also, it's simply astonishing how many people picked Last Story in this thread. Did vgC have a special on haterade that I missed that would cause otherwise rational people to prefer games they know pretty much nothing about over highly anticipated games?

how is the last story vaporware? It was just announced by Nintendo not to long ago at their investor relations meeting and is supposed to be out in 2010. For it to be vaporware we would have to actually doubt it would ever be released.

About FFXIII, I'm not a huge fan of JRPGs to start with, but the loss of towns and overworlds seems like a big reason for people to not be interested. Although, when I commented on this thread I was really thinking about Xenoblade

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit
11/03/09 Desposit: Mod Bribery (RolStoppable)  vg$ 500.00
06/03/09 Purchase: Moderator Privilege  vg$ -50,000.00

How can anyone make this decision when we know absolutely NOTHING about the Last Story other than it's being made by sakaguchi for the Wii

Vaporware is anything unreleased.

Games have had functional, playable builds and gone unreleased in the past due to management decisions.  There's zero guarantee you'll get to play any game until release day.  Odds of those decisions are another matter entirely.
