Why did you have to be such a whiner in the $30 thread? I was messing around with multiquotes and ended up being two minutes too late to get everything posted. Threads where it's so easy to bully people don't happen every day, but nooooo, you want it to be locked.

So ein Mist. So ein verdammter Mist!

Moment, mein Post war nicht Schuld daran! Aber der Thread enthält trotz trotzdem ein paar Glanzstücke des klassischen Fanboys, die man nochmal verwenden kann

    on 29 August 2016

What else would have triggered the lock? CGI-Quality reads plenty of threads and is quick to lock them if the thread's question has been answered. That includes peaceful threads. So when there's a complaint that asks for a lock in plain sight like your post, a lock is imminent.

    on 29 August 2016

While I agree with you, cgi quoted the right post to lock the thread. If he only does this when people say a thread should be locked, he is doing it wrong.

Thanks for the video! So yes, drops to 27 fps and according to the site which made the video: "The frame pacing issues still persist as of version 1.09."

    on 24 March 2016

Don't mean to interject myself into your conversation, but as someone who has about 300 hours put into Bloodborne, I can honestly say that the slowdowns were pretty bad before patching. But they still do exist today. There is no denying it. And I've played the game as recently as this past weekend.

    on 24 March 2016

Thanks for your post but I don't think it is a conversation anymore. Think-man argued with opinion rather than facts and wanted to further prove his point with a video which more proved my point and I think he realized that.
Still thanks for your further confirmation. I still stands by my point that I believe data more than anecdotal references but yours seems to be in line with what can objectively be measured and observed.

    on 24 March 2016

Yeah, data is usually pretty conclusive and trumps anecdotal information any day. Some people are just less sensitive to drops in FPS. I happen to be one of the unfortunate few who can sense even the slightest shift in FPS. And the data backs it up.

"No, the annoying thing is that people like you repeat this over and over again on this forum without any evidence, generalizing and making themself comfortable in playing a "victim role" and justify shit posts because of that. Doesn't mean yours is a shit post, though. But it's annoying, for sure."

I agree with you on that but is that really that much better to do in a forum?

"I didn't even expect an answer in the first place, to be honest. It's just a "I want to take a free hit on a game I won't buy on a console I don't own"-post."

not a good post and one of the reason a thread starts do derail, something you don't really want after reading the post above.

There is a difference in calling a post what it is and playing the victim role. The shit post in the first place is why threads get derailed. If it wasn't there, it wouldn't derail at all.

    on 26 October 2015

making jokes and fun of the opinion of another person isn't that much better.
You can't even prove anything if he played the previous games or not, if he used the split screen or not, if he is going to play halo 5 or not (maybe it's correct what he said who knows and his comment wasn't even snarky to reply with that attitude)
so yeah, comments like yours also can derail a thread something you don't want.

    on 26 October 2015

Well, the user is well known because I am a long time member here so there is that.
It's calling out people when they "share" their "opinions". Either way, yes, this can lead to a derail. But it was also up to him to prove I am wrong with my opinion about him and his attitude but that also didn't happen which further proves my point.

"See Zekkyou, that is what I am talking about :)" this thread: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=208881&page=5

isn't that just cherry picking to strengthen his arguments or point with just one comment? I mean if I open a thread and say all people are dumb and many people respond with "crystallised" (don't ask) intelligence and just one guy respond with 2+2=5 I can't really say "see, that's what I'm talking about".

It just was a coincidence, not a causality. But it was just too obvious that I talked about it and minutes after the post came. Sad that tachi closed the thread as Zekkyou didn't see a reason for that and generally the discussion was actually quite good, sans the part where one poster as usual didn't prove any of his statements but that is his way of having a discussion, not mine.

I've heard South Park: Stick of Truth is one of the most offensive games ever.

    In which way?

    on 10 September 2015

    Everything.

    on 10 September 2015

Well, I am German so a lot of content was cut but generally it is like a long South Park episode. If you are used to South Park, you know what you get.
And the game is amazing! But I also love South Park so that might explain why I love this game.

    on 10 September 2015

Well I'm a bit conservative, so this might not be my type of game.

    on 10 September 2015

Oh, politically, I am totally conservative so I guess that isn't something that should determine whether you like the game or not.

< ethomaz posted something on walsufnir's wall:

Sorry to show the truth behind the GT6 sales... GTPlanet updated the article too... they are VGC numbers from July 2014.

    Not official data from Sony.

There is no truth, ethomaz. We still don't know the sales of the game.

    on 04 September 2015

The last official info from Sony was the over 2.5m free DLC in August 2014... the DLC was out in July 2014... there is no way even with used that the game had a install base below 2.5m at that time... to be fair 100% attach rate for the DLC is something heavy unlikely... so you can assume it was over 3 million is safe.
After that no more info WW.
But we got over 500k from Famitsu in Dec 2014 for Japan.

    on 04 September 2015

< ethomaz posted something on walsufnir's wall:

GT6 numbers here are wrong in Japan for example... VGC have 390k today when the game crossed by Famitsu 500k in December 2014.

If they can't even be accurate with Japan that we have data every week then I don't believe in their US e mainly EU/RotW numbers.

But we know that VGC has many numbers wrong so we can argue sales for all games.
It's not a matter of belief but which data we have and what we can use.

    on 06 July 2015

None...that is the issue... the last PD update was March 2013 before GT6 release.

I guess they will update again when GT franchise reaches 80m and for that GT6 needs to sell close to 10m or GT7 be launched.

Have you gone to next gen yet?

Nope :) And I don't think I will anytime soon, the gen is still lacking in games for me.

    on 01 June 2015

What genre are you looking at to sway you?

    on 01 June 2015

I don't know, something that makes me quit my 360 gaming. But I don't see it. Perhaps a new Forza or Gran Turismo... Or a new Gears or perhaps the new Uncharted. But currently? The new gen is very much like the old gen and there are no surprises in any way. Yeah, it looks better but which game does really something new?

Hey man, do you like The Order? I can't quite tell.

I like the story, the graphics are great but the game itself as a game I don't like, to be honest. The gameplay: non gameplay ratio is off to me and I won't stop saying the game is too short. It is proven to be too short, there are already two playthroughs on YouTube which prove this. People saying otherwise rely on random guys on forums with no evidence at all.
Thing is they won't check for themselves because they don't want to spoil themselves for obvious reasons. But their reasoning is just false as they can't argue with facts while the others can. This leads to asymmetric discussions.

    on 18 February 2015

You answer in the thread wasn't satisfying in the slightest. You're talking about this game because there's nothing else to talk about? Kirby, Evolve, Battlefield, Bloodborne, and the bajillion other games releasing? I don't buy it. I know exactly why you're discussing this game so much. It's not exactly hard to tell considering you're incredibly anti-PS post history. But as you wish, I'll quit replying to you. Not like it was generating good discussion anyways.

    on 19 February 2015

I didn't satisfy you? Well, then this didn't work out as I planned, I am very sorry.
And no, The Order is "dominating" the discussions completely, for better or worse. To me for the better as it is funny to argue with people who can't really argue and to counter them with actual facts. You know, the stuff that happens in technical discussions very often ;)
In the end I am happy to be not the subject of your psychic abilities in the future.
Have a nice day and much fun with The Order!

    on 19 February 2015

Facts? You mean the fact that you have posted in 19 threads about a game you don't care about for a platform you don't own made by a company you despise. I'm sure there's a better use of your time friend!

    on 19 February 2015

I guess counting my post count is way more wasted time but who am I to judge how much worth time is for you.
And yes, facts. Of course people chose to ignore playthrough times but again, that is why most of the discussions were asymmetric. Galileo couldn't convince the church, too. Arguing against opinions or even belief doesn't work mostly.

    on 19 February 2015

A prime example of the pot calling the kettle black.

    on 19 February 2015

Yo man I am thinking of doing a degree of computer science. Can you please give me a run down of what I should expect, the difficulty of the course etc

Hi! Surely but keep in mind I did my degree in Germany so the curriculum in your country is likely to be different.
At first we were taught "basics" of programming, using Java, and general things like boolean logic, simple logic using gates, multiplexers and flip-flops. In parallel we were taught math (analysis, linear algebra) which was tougher than cs.
Second year was further math and more cs relying on the math you learned in the first year. This includes computational complexity and algorithms - stuff like "how fast is your algorithm asymptotically" and stuff like Turing machines.
If you manage to get past these topics, it was up to me what to choose further but these are the basics in Germany.

    on 05 November 2014

Also how difficult is the maths , I have am doing the second highest level at the moment

    on 05 November 2014

I don't know what equals to second highest level but I will try to explain my view on this:
In school you had to *calculate*. You knew what you had to do and deal with concrete numbers.
Math at university in Germany is more like proving mathematical equations which means you have to have a very good understanding on what the equation means so you can fiddle with it or to use other equations to show/prove another equation is true.
This is a totally different approach and you need some to get used to this (at least in my case ;)).

    on 06 November 2014

Ok thanks, I am asking because I am not sure if I should venture in a degree of computer science (not saying my maths is bad but I am not the best) or like a general IT degree.
