... Hitler was an atheist though. A large part of his plot was to replace all religions with a religious "faith" built around Germany. He was about as much a believer in religion as people who start fake cults. The Nazis had some level of occultism, but he just tolerated it. He made religious references, but his final plans more or less showed them all to be nothing more then tools. In the "Is he religious or not" it was a war of public religious quotes vs private atheist quotes... which got more and more public as he gained more and more power.

Hmm, I suppose "he was spiritual" is more fitting. Using him as proof that atheism is evil is still silly but is a common tactic with many zealots to show that they're in the right. It's only fitting that Hitler was a tad careful around religion, seeing as how he saw the Jews as the largest social and economical problem in Europe but his campaign and many of his followers had some pretty religious sounding and looking undertones as a whole and he loved symbolics more than any other modern dictator.

Hello.

I am Jennifer by name humble girl, i need true friend. I am lovely, friendly, caring, obedience, straight forward, truthful and passionate, serious. Hi if you are interested in a serious relationship come over to my ID so that i will tell you more about my self;ID; jennifer.dier@yahoo.com

Thanks.

Jennifer.

Why don't they teach the bots some grammar? "I am obedience" sounds like something a dull conversation partner would say and saying "I am lovel" makes you sound conceited. Another tip for spam bots; most people don't start "serious relationships" over the walls of anonymous users on videogame forums. Goodbye Jennifer, it was short but sweet! Say hello to Google Translate for me!

Thank you for some worthwhile comments that went a long way to redeem incredibly silly WiiU threads.

I see magic thinking abound, instead of the will of rationally analyzing what the whole Wii/so-called-casual gaming phenomenon meant.

I'd think every sensible fan would like to understand the present and future in the light of what _really_ happened instead of what fans tell each other in an echo chamber.

Maybe that's not what some are after, though.

There's a lot of wishful thinking tied to the 8th generation, people are overly positive about the prospects of their favourite console and often overly negative about the prospects of the competing consoles. In my mind, the 8th generation will be a turning point; it will be the first generation that sees no growth or even shrinkage, there is just no way to sustain such an incredibly large and diverse gaming market that we see emerging today, especially with the associated costs of keeping it all afloat, it calls for consumers to spend an absurd amount of money on average.

Thank you for your kind words though, I like writing challenging posts, challenging both to formulate and counter, that is. :-)

Just saw your reply. I was tempted to post in the forum but decided not to the following:
I'm really beginning to think Nintendo (through vigourous market testing that all companies do) knew the WiiU would be a bust even before launch. But were too committed to do anything but launch. This would explain the scarce marketing WiiU got compared to Wii or 3DS. If Nintendo are already focused on replacing WiiU ASAP (and likely the soft-selling outside of Japan 3DS) then it's understandable that they wouldn't consider a price cut, and wouldn't try to artifically boost sales. It's fait accompli. Not saying they've abandoned it completely. Games will come out (even vertual Boy got 29 titles) and Nintendo will look to build hype prior to holiday season with some big games but I suspect Zelda and poss. Smash Bros might get held back to launch a new system.
On the other hand PS3 had similar issues but Sony knew that sales would go up when the price dropped (and it had a loooong way to drop) and PS3 was 'future proof' and was going to be relevant for a long time. WiiU certainly will drop in price, but is undercut by comparible PS3/360 in price and will not be especially cheaper than PS4/720 most likely. And it already feels like old tech without any wiimote hook like Wii had.
If my gut is right, All of WiiU's best games will be out 2013, after that the well will be dry as all games are pushed to the new system which - with the combined mobile/console software development and shunted WiiU/3DS games will have the best game line up of 1st party titles ever. Out Holiday 2014 or early 15. Spec comparible to but less than PS4/720. Price competitive with a much better 'hook' than the gamepad.
Thoughts? Am I crazy smart or just plain crazy?

I think its pretty clear by now that Nintendo aren't at all fully invested, itellectually, commercially or otherwise, in the Wii U project, you might very well be onto something there, Gamerace!

I think they're counting on riding the 3DS until fall and then launch some games for Wii U, and keep launching just enough to keep afloat, all the while trying to extend the Wii U's time on the market without trying to lower the price too much or too often. They are bound to be aware of two things; one being that dedicated handhelds are going away and two being that they won't be able to compete properly on the gadget and tech market, they simply don't have the pedigree, experience or connections to pull it off. They have tp pull a rabbit out of the hat for next gen!

Shout out to how bad the Gran turismo elevator music is @___@

At least the menu sound effects aren't annoying... No, wait! :-P Every time I buy a new GT game I pop it in, go straight to the menu's and turn off all music and the menu SFX. Seriously!

on 30 January 2013

I've never bought a GT game actually. I always borrow from a friend, convince myself that sim racers are popular and force my way through 10-15 hours of racing and unlocking things. Then I get bored of it and go back to burnout paradise.

on 30 January 2013

I'm more or less the complete opposite, arcade racers bore me and I enjoy the intricacy and slow progression of a sim racer, makes all the rewards all the more tempting. Same with RPG's, I enjoy the older, slower and more tactical games (especially those with isometric views and pause functions) and despise modern action oriented and more shallow games.

on 30 January 2013

I'm an impatient person lol.
So what are your favorite Rpg's?

on 30 January 2013

Baldur's Gate I and II, Icewind Dale I and II, Neverwinter Nights I and II, Betrayal at Krondor, Lands of Lore, Stone Prophet, Deus Ex, Might & Magic series. Among newer games I really enjoy The Witcher 1 and 2, Morrowind, Borderlands (both of them) and I love the Gothic series as well as Risen! :-) How about you? Have you tried any of these?

on 30 January 2013

Out of those, I've played and completed Borderlands. LOL. That's it. I did beat both Boulder's gate but they were the Dark allience ones on Ps2.

on 30 January 2013

Yeah, I have Baldur's Gate on PS2, pretty good action RPG's, especially the second one and on coop mode!

Gran Turismo vs Halo Which Is the bigger 1st party exclusive?

in Sony Discussion 10 hours ago

CGI-Quality said: Mummelmann said:Neither is a 1st party exclusive so the discussion is pointless. Halo isn't platform exclusive either (PC). Huh? BOTH are 1st party exclusives. In terms of platforms, only Halo has shared console and PC versions. GT PSP is the only non-console version. Even then, you'd be reaching as far as you could. My bad, there were some changes...
