Dark souls nailed the atmosphere, level design and pacing, but it's missing the character interaction and story that makes BG2 the total package. I love exploring; unfortunately most modern games, although looking great, have very generic level design which you end up running through and forgetting about again.

Also Dragon Age: Origins fell in the trap of thinking more battles = more fun. The best part was exploring the deep roads. That felt closest to exploring the dungeons of old with all the twists and turns.

Worst part was the Carta hideout, couldn't be more bland.

I miss you! We may have disagreed like all the time, but you were good to talk to. I hope I always came off as a reasonable and intelligent person with you!

Even an Int character with pretty high resistances can get hit for 3-4K HP per second with those, it's pretty much insta-death :-P. It's always fun to fight Jailer/Arcane Enchanted/Mortar mobs :-) I should send you a screenshot of my...

My Diablo III first impressions

in PC Discussion 1 day ago

Ail said: Well I might as well give my impressions too So far I am enjoying the game but I have a few issues with it. 1) Skills damage based on weapon damage. it removes the need for +skill mods and that was a nice part of D2, looking for the set that would maximise your char through + skills. Now your damage mainly depends on your weapon and with the worrying report of inferno blue...

I do enjoy games with a medieval theme of course, but FPS and adventure games as well as racing are also frequent in my collection and wishlist! Feel free to contact me either through VgCharts (which is by far my NexGen site of choice) or send me a mail. Any input for story ideas or similar thoughts are appreciated!!
