Alphonse looks great. But seeing the rest of the largely white/European looking cast, probably cast as Japanese actors, is going to seem as silly as any other time they do it in Japanese live-action anime adaptations. ...
Considering the fact that what makes a "Paper Mario" game a "Paper Mario" game, is the fact that Mario and the other characters of the world are flat PAPER, and NOT simply traditional rpg mechanics, then no, I would not buy it simply predicated on that. Me personally, I liked Super Paper Mario the best in the series. It still had the strong rpg elements, but it was also a fun (and hilarious)...
I'm not "upset", and getting upset about it kind of pointless. However as I've said elsewhere, the only DLC that should exist, IMO, is actual "Expansion" content that is developed AFTER the game is finished and shipped. If that's technically what this is, IE this is stuff they couldn't fit in the main game, then fine. That's great, and I'll probably get it if it seems worth it. But IF it's...
