Mediocre numbers for Switch, but August was one of the rare months without a first party retail release, so I guess there is a mitigating factor.

I thought the numbers were pretty good, what makes them mediocre?

I have to say the smash bundle was a brilliant move on nintendo part, makes November very interesting.

I think so too. I'm a bit confused though. Will they start counting Smash software for when this bundle releases or Dec. 7?

Source for last month's NPD?

We have a couple updates...

Aquamarine mentioned that the PS4 didn't break 200k this month and that Magicpork was generous with his rounding (PS4 up 9% y/y as opposed to 10%) no mention of the ratios being wrong so Switch and Xbox numbers are actually lower.

So in short, all are actually lower than in the OP?

Yes

What's that ?

If it's an indie, then I would expect such, since Nintendo has decided to open the floodgate. Tons of people will get disappointed when they won't be able to reek the same success other indies could.

Shes an analyst at a major bank who has access to NPD data

Next month will be a bloodbath. Ps4 by at least 100k

PS4 should be largely in front this month. However, I don't think it will be quite that much in front, only 50-80k (which is still plenty)

Looking at this results I can say that it was a great idea for Sony to introduce a mid gen upgraded ps4.i remember all the gaming sites and fanboys doubting Sony regarding mid gen console but in the end they are proving them wrong.ps+ igc was also great idea but it didn't provide any boost to hardware maybe because it was more of a service but it did create a positive mind share among the gamers.its still is best value for money service on the market.also Sony should reduce the price of ps4 to 150$.i mean it's already 6 yrs old.

Does anyone have a breakdown of this?  Like what % is Pro vs Normal PS4?
