Looking at this results I can say that it was a great idea for Sony to introduce a mid gen upgraded ps4.i remember all the gaming sites and fanboys doubting Sony regarding mid gen console but in the end they are proving them wrong.ps+ igc was also great idea but it didn't provide any boost to hardware maybe because it was more of a service but it did create a positive mind share among the gamers.its still is best value for money service on the market.also Sony should reduce the price of ps4 to 150$.i mean it's already 6 yrs old.

Does anyone have a breakdown of this?  Like what % is Pro vs Normal PS4?

Pro is about 20-25% of total on last update we got about 3-6 months ago.

Good for all considering only usa sales. Not so good for the x on the global sales

All three systems pretty close, Pro and X models are helping the PS4 and XB1 perform like mid-cycle systems rather than late-cycle systems. It's a fountain of youth in game hardware terms.

PS4 did that this month and the previous month without Pro. They are mostly sold out in US.

Would like to know the software

3ds still kicking.

I don't get it.

A member here has been proclaiming that Switch sales will suddenly fall off a cliff.  He used the phrase repeatedly to the point that it has become a meme.  Other members have taken to creating "cliff" images, GIFs or wordplay as a response when Switch sales show the opposite.

This one here plays on the notion of a cliff that is skyward...suggesting that falling off this cliff would actually rise as has been seen with the Switch sales.

2017 sales for switch are still ahead of 2018. I was wrong  about switch sales going down big, but tons of people were wrong about switch sales as well so far.

YTD 2017 vs 2018
PS4 ~2.2m vs ~2.3m
NSW ~2.0m vs ~2.0m
XBO ~1.2m vs ~1.7m

PS4 slightly up, NSW flat and XBO up by alot.

It's actually slightly down so far, zorg was using the 215k number. doesn't really matter, predictions from many was it would destroy switch in sales  from 2017 on NPD, or be the next wii. i don't keep quoting them, or trying to make fun of a prediction that's like 8 months old or more, which i only really used fall off a cliff to combat the hyperbole, i did think it would lose momentum big though.

NPD 2018 totals (January-August)
PS4: ~2295K
NSW: ~1994K
XB1: ~1700K

NPD 2017 totals (January-August)
PS4: ~2191K
NSW: ~2003K
XB1: ~1231K

PS4: +5%, NSW: -0.5%, XB1: +38%
