Mainly that firefox (at least as you have it setup) is evil and opens up too many idle connections to the server.

Looks like firefox will even preemptively create connections before it even has something to request of the server "just in case" you click on something.  That makes the vgchartz server defensive...

That leaves me two questions.

1) Is there any way to fix that.

2) Can I close VGchartz in firefox (but leave firefox open) and just open vgchartz in chrome to fix this?

It should be fixed now, at least for anyone who logs in.

Firefox is being impolite, but not causing real problems as it's mainly wasting idle connections.  The caps were put in place because of some bots and other things doing denial of service attacks or speed crawling the site and other bad behavior.  That type of bad behavior tend to never login....

Yes, if you close VGchartz in firefox (but leave firefox open) it probably wouldn't trigger.  You might have to wait for firefox to release it's connections which can take awhile after closing a tab.  (You can check with netstat).  I probably place a higher limit for authenticated connections later.

Not sure if something's going on behind the scenes, but Dark Mode broke.

Tried it on PC and mobile (on which I use the desktop site), both the same. You know, when you only see text and pictures above each other without any lay-outing. Not sure what's it's called. But anyway, Standard Mode does work like it's supposed to, but that doesn't look as good.

For those that don't know, to pick the theme, hover over your avatar in the upper right, and then pick settings.

I like the Blue theme. (and yes, it does require supporter level, between that and no ads it's totally worth it).

What about Dark mode being broken? It doesn't display properly for me or several others that use it.

I assume that would have to be @TalonMan to fix the theme.

(or are you are stuck in dark mode and can't get switched to something else because it's broke?  I could probably override those settings)

Dark theme is fixed now.

Signature goes here!

We are aware of the issue. I use Dark Mode and thought the whole site was broken when I got up this morning. I used Dark Mode on every site that has it.

Okay thanks, no biggie, I’ll use the Standard for now. 👍🏻

Dark mode should be working again. Truck fixed the issue.

It does, tested on Safari, Chrome and Firefox.

Thank you very much to you and Truck!

Would it be possible to add an edit feature to comments made on articles? Or for much the same purpose, the ability to delete "reply" comments? Would be awsem!

Is the post function broken? I'm not getting any of regular options in rich text reply/new thread, it's taking me straight to a HTML editor that understandably is very ugly if I just put straight text into it. On Firefox, Windows 10.

Might want to hide debugging information from the public? I certainly didn't need to know this:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '"' in /data/r5/nfs/ioi/vgchartz.com/assets/includes/responsive/menu.php on line 474

Just for the record, the site was inaccessible for a moment because of this but it's fine now.
