Is I remember right, aren't VGchartz NA numbers combined with canada's? That could explain some of the difference between the npd numbers.

VGchartz has NA numbers and USA only numbers, the USA only numbers are what is being compared to NPD.

noobie, youre mistaken. We dont hold onto VGChartz numbers as factual numbers. We take them for what they are. Estimations. These estimations are good enough for the likes of Sony and Square Enix, to name a couple of big gaming companies.

We ask about and debate adjustments to the estimations here based on NPD leaks from NeoGAF members. Remove yourself from your high horse.

IncandescentPrecept, Nintendo had shipped 42.74 Million 3DS systems as of 31st December. VGChartz estimations have the 3DS at 41.79 Million sold as of 28th December. The 3DS numbers for 2013 here arent exactly a problem. Remove yourself from your high horse.

Aquamarine again. See this is the problem that you GAF lot have. You call people who use the numbers ignorant, yet youre being ignorant yourself. You refuse to look beyond your old hatred of Brett and VGC in general and see what this site is actually doing. Read the (admittedly now outdated) Methodology. Look at the first sentence.

I think those new numbers include the week ending 8th of feb, if you look at tools - hardware by date, a new week has been added with PS4 and 3ds pretty much level at 140k.

Also it looks like previous weeks have been adjusted. Xbone adjusted down pretty much every week for jan, PS4 adjusted down slightly.
