Can Disney beat Universal's record 2015 domestic gross - $2.445 billion?

It will fall short of tha... 4 13.33%

Finding Dory, Doctor Stra... 20 66.67%

It's going to be very cl... 6 20.00%

Total:30

Alice Through the Looking Glass is Disney's first misstep in an incredible year for them so far. Very curious to see where they will end up, updated poll.

TW LW Title (click to view) Studio Weekend Gross % Change Theater Count / Change Average Total Gross Budget* Week #
1 N X-Men: Apocalypse Fox $65,000,000 - 4,150 - $15,663 $65,000,000 $178 1
2 N Alice Through the Looking Glass BV $28,112,000 - 3,763 - $7,471 $28,112,000 $170 1

Alice will make less than Black Mass ($62.5M) but Depp's paycheck is probably 5x bigger.

But Black Mass almost made no money overseas ($37.2 million).  Even if through the Looking Glass will end having no legs it will probably still easily make at least four times as much money as Black Mass overseas.

First one was nearly unwatchable. Depp needs to stay out.^

This one actually had decent trailers.

So did Men end up being good or bad? Bad guy looks like rhonin.

The trailers might look good but its metascore is lower then the first one.  The first one had a metascore of 53 Through the Looking Glass has metascore of 34.  Both currently have 6.5 user score on imdb but I'm pretty sure that Through The Looking Glass will fall below 6 once its gets more user reviews.  X-Men: Apocalypse turned out to be below average its metascore is 52.  Not really a fan of any of the X-Men movies so I have no plans of seeing it anytime soon.

Did you forget about The Finest Hours?

The poll is odd, it is asking how much Disney will gross, but then give examples of Universal releases (Warcraft, Bourne). If you wanted to give examples of Disney releases you should have mentioned movies like Finding Dory and Rogue One.

Oh, my bad. Somehow I had ended up looking on Universal's future releases page. Will correct it now.

Btw, Disney will destroy the record. They are already at $1.4b, with Finding Dory, Doctor Strange, Moana and Rogue One coming up. Disney will come very close to $3b.

That movie is not relevant to the likes of Alice which dance around the $200M budget. I don't think Disney cares that much to call it a misstep.

But it was though.
