They loved Demon Souls...

But I will hold off on purchasing the game until I hear from 1up, Giant Bomb and maybe IGN (though Ryan is reviewing it and he also like Demon Souls).

 

So since they praised a game you dislike any further reviews are worthless? Interesting and hilarious.

Sony should've pimped out Demons Souls. I mean it was Gamespots GOTY and it took the backseat to WKC. Some spite? (I'm angry at them for doing that aswell...)

Anyway, I don't think 1 review should completely cancel interest in a game. Maybe their opinion will be in-line with mine though... I'm not sure. All I know is that other reviewers have been saying much more positive things about the game. Keep that in mind.

Or go F*** OFF!!!

Score was expected, I was thinking the highest they'd give it was a 7.

JRPG games have been getting bad reviews for the last few years! Tales of Symponia 2 had similar scores from basically every website, and that is one of my favorite games of this generation! I am not too worried about the game yet!

I was only expecting a metacritic score in the 70s (probably low 70s) and this review only seems to confirm that eventually happening.

Looks like I'll stick to my original plan of passing on this game. If the reviews were 'good' (good=metacritic of high 70's) then I may have considered getting it but from the looks of things, my money is better spent elsewhere.

What I think is funny, is that it takes Gamespot usually 5-6 days after IGN to get a review out for a game that is roughly 6-10 hours long. I highly doubt they finished WKC:IE before IGN and really allowed themselves the time and devotion the game deserves. I'll wait for tomorrow when I get my copy.
