I've been thinking about finally getting Disgaea 3 while I wait for Final Fantasy XIII to come out. So, is it any good? Just to let you guys know, I'm a huge fan of the Disgaea series.

As another huge fan of the Disgaea series, I'll say that it has the best gameplay out of the three non-ported games. There is so much to do and it's a lot easier to do the time-sinks (leveling weapons, getting innocents, making uber characters) than in previous games.

I loved it. I put it ahead of Disgaea 2, but quite a bit behind the first.

I enjoyed it.

How are the characters in Disgaea 3 compared to Disgaea 1's characters? I know they can't be as good, but are they close?

I also agree with pearljammer. The game isn't the best in the series, the original is, but I would still put it above Disgaea 2 easily. The characters are great.

The game's excellent. Gameplay wise, it's the best in the series.

Awesomeness. I knew the Disgaea series would let me down. But, if Disgaea 3 is so good, then how come people always say that Tales of Vesperia, Valkyria Chronicles, Demon Souls and Lost Odyssey are the only good jrpgs this gen? GOD this series is so underrated.

Disgaea is grinding, grinding, grinding, it's for the hardcore. People usually don't talk about it. (imho)
