Yeah it's true, but I think too many users here on VGC have the habit of always comparing games with their metascore. I mean, you can't tell a game quality only by his score on Meta. That would mean GTA IV would be the greatest game of all time and Rock Band would be better than Demon's Souls. But i agree with you, TP and Oblivion should both be higher. I think if you would simply remove wii sports of the list it wouldbe a pretty correct top 10 (or 9).

Am I the only one noticing a pattern with IGN when it comes to Zelda? Every list with Zelda in it so far is on the low end. Not to mention what the 2001 list said about Melee.

No. it. isn't. Infact, not even Mario vs Link is everyones dream, but Mario vs Link is alot more popular of a subject than Mario vs Samus. They're making it a point to dodge Zelda. Also, they placed Okami 1st while Twilight Princess received merely 8th. A game constantly compared to Twilight Princess, in which a bit of an internet fad came up with people claiming it to be better than TP. Looks like they're joining in on the fad just to please the popular, or seemingly popular belief. Especially considering TP originally came in 4th with their top 25 Wii games list, in which it was higher than Okami.

Lastly, they picked Chinatown wars for the best DS game of 2009 over Spirit Tracks earlier. =/

I don't care what their real opinions are, but its so obvious they're ditching Zelda to seem more hardcore to the hardcores, or just to please people who think Zelda is overrated. That's just kind of pathetic, but you know what? They've always been like this. Catering to popular belief on the internet to show they're in where its at. Surely putting Zelda high on every list is being biased in the eyes of the internet, so now it needs to go down.

     In their list of the top 25 roleplaying games of all time a few years ago, Dave Halverson's Play Magazine, a publication that has been the leading American source on jrpgs dating back to the Die Hard Gamefan days in the 16-bit and Working Designs era, said FFXII was in the Top 3 and higher than FFX.

I dont like this as much as the 2005 one, I think there should be some FFXII or KH2 and less Wii sports, but thats just my opinion.

Well, I agree to a large extent. I'm just referencing Meta scores as a plead to authority lol. It's an act out of desperation since there are so many Oblivion haters around here lol.

Seriously? I know I'm new to this site but i've never seen somebody saying Oblivion was bad. I haven't played many RPG but I can say it is really good.
