How many players in the same are at the same time? Was that 256 in that area all at once?

indeed where rae they... and those people who said at max its only 16 vs 16

You'd need a lot more coordination to try to get two teams to group up in one area without people going wild and throwing grenades. If that was Domination mode (256 players), then I'd imagine there were around 100-128 player depending on where everybody on the team was on the map. 

Looks like there is still a long way to go before we have a great large scale FPS that isn't a choppy mess.
