@wagram

I'd say the story on its own is better than 8 (sorry lol), 10, 12

The characters are the best in the series to date but as character development & characters are basically "in" the story including them makes it the 2nd best story in the series

I would say the world crafted is the best actually. I love the idea of cocoon, pulse, fal'cie, l'cie

I wanna know more bout the culture & history of pulse......formation of cocoon & so on

we need a spin off on pulse!

Thats the problem I see in Final fantasy these days, some kick ass war happened in the past, and we don't see it!

Also I will say this, I am not back to not hating square enix. Now I just don't care about them! :P (Meaning I am neutral)

I wanted to atleast see a CGI cut scene of the war.....or maybe I do...I mean I haven't finished the game yet lol

All said and done the battle system & characters take the cake......the story isn't as epic as the trailers made it out to be but its a great story.

Its my 2nd favorite FF behind FF6 though.

For me it is in the middle of the list, better than the ps2 conterparts....Might put it higher than VIII after I finish the game.

good to hear, which chapter are you on right now?

Chapter 11, heading towards chapter 12.

but I have class now.

Sorry guys, but I just don't think it's very good at all.

I'm trying to like it, but it's been over 15 hours and I'm still mashing X and walking in a straight line through increasingly unimpressive environments with, frankly, god awful cutscenes that I have to skip whenever someone else is in the room. Even the graphics are underwhelming.

Hopefully I can get a store credit tomorrow.

I'm having problems believing that you could still advance but just mashing X and never changing your paradigms after 15 hours of play.

I change paradigms to one with 1 or 2 medics, then mash x to heal when necessary but that's it so far. And I get 5 stars on most battles.

There are only 2 or 3 offensive moves for most characters. There's no point in choosing between them after you've done libra because auto-battle gets the job done just fine. The battle system can be fun but they're starting to get really repitive, especially bosses, and it's too restrictive at this point.

And the graphics are underwhelming because the textures are terrible.

Chapter 1, Chapter 3, Chapter 5 = hotness.

Chapter 2, Chapter 4, Chapter 4, Chapter 6, Chapter 7 = big meh.

What are the best grinding spots? So far, the only battles i've constantly gained high CP very fast where the King Behemoth fights, at 4K a piece.

Wow those berserkers are like the size of a small Battlestar... yet have the fighting power of a flea.

well the behemoth is one of th best ones there

BUT at the end of the archtyl steppe....at the far end from where you start....theres a save point & a path down.....theres a king behemoth & an even bigger doggie animal thing fighting there

you cna pre-emptive strike em & kill the behemoth first....then the big doggie thing (which is much easier to kill) and get 6600 CP

or you can carry on the "story" part of the game....as theres a grinding spot later on where you can get 8,000 CP per battle thats very easy.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

King Behemoths until higher levels. Then there are two other places. Both are efficient.

Thanks, that King Behemot and big doggie thingy sounds good XD. It's just that I wanted to get most treasure chest as I could, but one of them is already impossible to get now, it's behind an Adamantortoise, big daddies of Adamantoises xD

on that big plain 2 treasure chests are guarded by the adamantoises from what I saw

also 1 path is blocked by them.....I wonder where it leads

We know for sure some areas on gran pulse are locked till you finish the game

theres a lot of extra content actually

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

I just did 99999 damage for the first time, do you need to epic something to do more?
