Hmm, that destructoid article actually passes as a review? Hell! I've seen better rants!

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

i rate the destructoid review 0/10, FF XIII deserves at least a 9/10!!!

it's the future of handheld

Seems he got busted :P Read the comments section, they are debunking the "he played the gam on a PS3 dev kit" theory that people are using to backup Sterling. Pretty funny to rip on a game and never actually finish it, but it seems it's not the first time he has done that XD

:(

Sorry guys, but I just don't think it's very good at all.

I'm trying to like it, but it's been over 15 hours and I'm still mashing X and walking in a straight line through increasingly unimpressive environments with, frankly, god awful cutscenes that I have to skip whenever someone else is in the room. Even the graphics are underwhelming.

Hopefully I can get a store credit tomorrow.

Everything you pointed is subjective to your experience and I'm sorry you're just not feeling the game, but graphics being underwhelming? What JRPG or RPG for that matter looks as good as FFXIII? If everyone, even the reviewers, agree on is that FFXIII is one of the best looking games on consoles, that's far from being subjective as graphics is something you can directly compare.

That just sounds like a very odd statement to give, probably due to the fact that the game is not meeting your expectations (whatever they were) and now everything in it looks bad to you, not being so.

isn't he the same person who gave Deadly Premonition a 10/10

My characters are all over 3K HP with Snow having 4K.  I have 33 hours in the game.  Grinding is actually more fun in FFXIII than it ever was in FFXII.

I'm having problems believing that you could still advance but just mashing X and never changing your paradigms after 15 hours of play.

I don't get the mashing X complaint.....in other FF's the main button I use in battles is X

Mashing X is the most stupid complaint about the game that I've ever heard......its like people "want" to find mistakes.

@okedokey

well trade it in.....with the attitude you went into the game with.....it was highly unlikely that you would like it anyway.

I don't think you "tried" to like it all......ever since you got the game you have been complaining about everything.

Bad graphics....gimme a break.

_____________

ok going back to grinding on pulse & finishing missions.

Then maybe I can beat the chp 11 boss!

What I find funny is how he survived 15 hours in the game by X button mashing. I guess he X button mashed the Retry at the game over screen a lot of times too :P
