i think Other M will sell about 2M LTD, it will sell most in the west but it will also sell well in Japan unlike the 1st person metroids

First of all, I thought Metroid Prime already got Metroid to be 'accepted' by the 'mainstream'.

Second of all, I THOROUGHLY REJECT abbreviating Metroid: Other M as MOM. As well as most other abbreviations.

WW is my fave zelda ever but after that TP was ok and HATED PH for DS,but when I played the Zelda clone Okami I fell in love with that game and now more interested in that series and other Zelda clones.

Nintendo lost me after TP and PH.

If none of the other Metroid games fit whatever definition of mainstream you have, then I don't think this one will either.

Your average gamer knows the Marios, Halo, Gears, CoD, etc. They do not know Metroid. Of course all the geeks on the interwebs know about it, but the MAINSTREAM gamers know it not. I doubt it have Mario/Halo type sales, but i think a solid marketing campaign and optional easier difficulty modes could woe those that complained about MP3 being too difficult.
