Will The Last Story and Xenoblade outsell Tales of Grace in Japan?

Nope. Both will fail miserablely. 13 13.68%

Only if the reviews are good... 5 5.26%

Only The Last Story will. 22 23.16%

Only Xenoblade will. 3 3.16%

It will if you combine th... 14 14.74%

Total:95

Graces barely outsold ToV on 360, though that was a niche game unlike ToV. This game is even more niche, who knows, it might match up to the mega popular Eternal Sonata on 360.

Around the Network

Actually, not many console RPGs have outsold Graces in Japan this gen.  Listing them all...

*only if you include budget rereleases

Wii

  • Monster Hunter Tri (Capcom)
  • Super Paper Mario (Nintendo)
  • Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors (Square Enix)
  • Monster Hunter G (Capcom)
  • Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Namco Bandai)

PlayStation 3

  • Final Fantasy XIII (Square Enix)
  • Yakuza 3 (Sega)
  • White Night Chronicles (SCEI)
  • Tales of Vesperia (Namco Bandai)
  • Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan (Sega)
  • Valkyria Chronicles (Sega)*

Xbox 360

  • Star Ocean: The Last Hope (Square Enix)
  • Blue Dragon (MGS)

...and honestly, when Graces totally winds down, it'll likely be ahead of TOS2, VC, SO4 and Blue Dragon as well...

a lot of those games aren't even comparable to ToG too. Paper Mario, DQS, Yakuza, and VC may not even fit in the same category.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

which game are you referring to? TLS or Xenoblade or both?

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
