FFX most certainly did not have levels.

There weren't sphere "levels" either, it was a grid that you spent pointns to move around on. It was only a "leveled" system if you think of the level cap as being like 400.

there were, i recall hitting 99 with auron, but i get what you mean in basic aspect.
still, ffxiii is seeming less and less like an rpg to me, more like... hybrid action game with lite rpg elements of sorts, its great to try new things, i welcome innovation to any genre... but there is a line that should not be crossed, speaking kindly.

You hit 99 with Auron in one stat. You raise your stats, but you dont' "gain levels" in the traditional strategy game/RPG sense.

Yeah, the DS version in particular... though this was alleviated if you used Slow on every single boss |
Really? I thought the DS version was very easy. You'd probably consider me under-leveled as well as I beat pretty quickly.

Your experience runs counter to the norm. A lot of people have a lot of trouble with the game, particularly with the optional bosses and the final dungeons - Red Dragons are the bane of nearly all existence, though thankfully the Gold and Black dragons are vulnerable to Stop.

1 - It's not about personal taste, you were the one who claimed, more popularity = better game, when you mentioned pokemon in your first post. The only one who has been using personal tastes has been you during this entire discussion, stop pinning this on me. If you can't answer a basic question, then that's fine by me. |
To answer youe number 2, I already answered that to him.
And again, I have no idea what you're trying to say if by saying a 'factual' poll of the best games of all time won't be full of FF/DQ/Pokemon, and then you turn around and get mad at me when I point out a list that actually DOES have a list like that (the linked 'best of' Famitsu list). That's not me putting 'words in your mouth'. That's me citing the very same poll you are above when you're trying to claim I said 'popularity = better game' (which I still didn't say and you assumed, but you're still trying to nail me for).
I seriously think we should end this. Its nothing but a bunch of misunderstandings and ruffling of feathers.
