lol, when this gen started I seriously thought nintendo was going to go under, and this saddened me big time, so i started to monitor the wii's sales constantly, which lead me to eventually join this online community.

I chose the top one, but in reality it's because I am a stats whore.

So first and foremost, because I like messing with numbers.
Second, to see how my favourite games are selling.
Close Third, Interest in industry trends.

It's not just the numbers that bring me here it's also the news. We get news about 1 hours\ later then everyone else but that's not really a big deal. It's the fact that we HUB everyone else and at a very fast speed considering how much information is actually out there.

we also have our own editorials that are interesting to read. Plus the forums arn't nearly as hostile as some. We have our bickering, but it really isn't bad at all considering you can go into any forum site and 9/10 it will be littered with someone calling some else a fag or something else crude. Here we get the often "your a fanboy" treatment but honestly that's not really that bad compared to the others where a flame shield it literally mandatory.

Its a whole lot of things for me...I love stats and yes it does support the argument is the game is good or not...plus I like to see a really good game do well...to watch one bomb sucks

Where is the option for - I'm a pathetic loser that lives in my mothers basement.

Not saying I would have picked it but it's nice to have options.

That's the main reason, although I doubt anyone would admit it. Well, I suppose it's partly covered by the "supporting arguments" option.

Also, I enjoy facepalming and raging when butthurt over sales that don't go the way people want leads them to say stupid things and get themselves trolled by people who weren't even trying to troll them.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if trolls didn't take an interest in sales in order to help them find targets. Trolling isn't my thing (no, really), but if it was, I would keep an eye on sales to see which console was doing badly and focus my trolling on its fans, since they'd be most likely to fall for it
