I thought it was a given what it means when he talks about the "gameplay" in his review. Makes me want to post a giant facepalm pic.

Wait, someone answer my question. They say there's "no game" in the cons but list "spiffy gameplay" in the positives. isn't a game anything that consists of gameplay?

I mean, if it's just QTE's as he says, why would he also list spiffy gameplay? sounds like there's more to it than he's letting on.

He didn't say "No Game", he said: No "Game", implying that it isn't a game in the traditional sense and understandably so it will be a deterent for many gamers, this is why it is listed as a con. He isn't saying it has no gameplay and it isn't only QTE's. Yes it ihas many, but that still doesn't invalidate it as a game.

Zack and Wiki is just point and click, but it is a game is it not? Is Dragon's Lair not a game? It is only button presses that need to be done at the right time or else you fail. Is Myst not a game? I think you get my point.

No he didn't. He responded to people wondering why the review would give a high score to a game which, as he says "has no game".

My question is why would he say it "has no game" if one of his positives on the game is "spiffy gameplay" Gameplay makes a game. If one of the attractions to the game for him was that it has good gameplay, why on earth would he say it barely has a game?
