I don't think many games are under 10GB on PS3. Even the multiplat ones. They may put lossless audio or not compress the videos. But it is true that if you have several hundreds of gigs. You could install the game on HDD which makes the point about blank media useless. Maybe the reason why Sony has not yet released a feature that allows full HDD installs for games is because it might just open the way for piracy. That said, I still think we'll be able to play backups in a year or 2. When there is a will, there is a way.
