^^^^ Nintendo might just use the sanity meter for a different game. Think about it for a second - Vitality Sensor can detect heartrate, so linking that to a Sanity meter might actually make for a REALLY demented horror game.

lol, I don't know. That actually sounds cool in theory but I don't think it will work well...

I guess there's only one way to find out.... TO THE TIME MACHINE!

I don't have any business posting this because I never played the game but...

This game looked stupid in the videos that I watched!(But again I didn't play it so I am sorry and I will go away now...)

Fiddlesticks....

One of the best games i ever played... this is a sad day.

I played the game three or four times!

This is fantastic. Now Wii owners will stop thinking that Nintendo was seriously going to wrap it's newest big time peripheral around a horror action game with limited sales potential.

That's rather annoying. Eternal Darkness was quite an unexpected gem. Still, they could do another game in a similar vein using their insanity patent, so all is not lost.

Too bad. It isn't worth crying over spilled milk.

Bring on a new IP with the sanity meter, and it will be the spiritual successor for Eternal Darkness like System Shock --> Bioshock and Odin Sphere --> Muramasa.

Everyone was happy with those "sequels", and a "sequel" for Eternal Darkness with a different name shall please the fans.

agreed. Eternal Darkness without the sanity meter would have been just an ok game. With the sanity meter (and playing with it empty) brought it to a whole new level. If they made any game with a sanity meter I would probably buy it in an instant.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

This is true.

I also agree with Khuutra, even though I would've loved to see a sequel to Eternal Darkness.

I hope to see more of the Sanity Meter in the future. That, together with the Vitality Sensor could be really cool.

Not going to miss it. I struggled through 8 or 9 hours of ED and am not going back......ever again.
