I'm actually starting to wonder how a lot of the Natal based games are really going to work. Genuine curiosity here. It'll have to wait until E3, but right now I'm really thinking a lot of these 1:1 control type games are going to be like pantomime controls. Either that or there's going to be a really big market for plastic prop peripherals to be used as stand ins for in game objects.
Maybe you can use your Wii remote for a sword handle. Or a banana. A bagel or giant soft pretzel could be your steering wheel. Half of the fun of Natal will be finding random household objects to use as controllers.

Do any of the games we get now matter in japan?...hmmm...let me see....nope..not really...More and more dev. is coming out of EU/NA..unless you see the next say Killzone and Gears made with the japan audince in mind. Also in refernce to my comment...can't tote the 360 is just being ''smashed'' by ps3....when neck neck in eu and na is just 360land.
Japan just isnt that console based anymore..maybe next gen it will change but so far this gen no. |
FFXIII, Yakuza 3, MGS4.
It's just those games I can think of, though. Gran Turismo 5 can do some good numbers in Japan as well.
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!
@aleusianacht88 - Your number is pegged, enjoy baiting other users on here. Bye bye, I will not be reading your posts anymore. I'm not mad at you or your views, I really don't care what you think, I just cannot be bothered reading your blinkered views. Typical troll response is to try and reflect blame elsewhere, well done for proving my thoughts correct. You're the one directly to blame for the responses you got, nobody else.
Back OT - Natal will be heavily reliant upon new concepts actually being fun. In my opinion the fate of the device is largely in the hands of Rare who have had the most access to it. I fear saying those words given Rare's struggles to achieve mass market success but facts are facts.

Okay :) bye bye then
Dont think so. Natal needs to have a few games behind it to make a huge change this gen. A lot of HD gamers will probably not care for any sort of Wii type set up. The Natal will lure some casuals over to the 360 but the hardcore gamers will not move unless you give them a great game. If you can pull off games like Halo with that thing then the sky is the limit and you can bet that ninny and Sony will begin developing their own AI driven camera. This tech is not easy or cheap to develop which is probably why Ninny decided against it originally and why MS, with deep pockets, are trying to develop it now. They know that if done right, this type of tech can change gaming and people perceptions of the company hopefully giving them access to Sony dominated areas. We are just now touching the cusp of this type of tech and it can easily be translated to PC for a variety of uses.
Even though I don't own one the answer to that would be no. Companies are always looking for ways to market there product. They (Microsoft) are looking many ways to use the 360 as a home system...You have live tv, twitter, netflix, and many other things..
