God forbid you place a positive thread in the appropriate forum and not have people come in and bash said system...I just don't understand it, if you don't like the system, why would you keep visiting threads and ruining it from those who do.

But today you can put together a PC that can smoke the 360 graphically for around 500 bucks (less then the cost of a 360+250gb HD+99 wireless + paying for online play). As a bonus, that 500 dollar box is a PC too for everything else you want to do. You can even use the 360 controller with most multi plat games if that's your thing and get achievements from Windows Live that count towards the same gamerscore (without paying 50 bucks a year). Yes by getting rid of my 360 I do miss out on a few games Microsoft artificially keeps from the PC (about 1 good game a year lately) but really, Fable 2 isn't worth keeping a console over. I'll be getting a superior version of Mass Effect 2 tomorrow, Ill get Alan Wake on the PC and pretty much every other big game this year that is "360 console exclusive" on the vastly superior PC platform. High quality console only games that still push the limits like Uncharted 2, God of War 2, GT 5 and the rest? I need the PS3 for that. |
This thread is really warm but for all the wrong reasons.
1. Has hardcore gamers.
2. Has very good exclusive Multi player games.
3. Comes with a Mic with every xbox 360 console
4. Better controller, they actually fit the average gamer more comfortably.
5. Has Party chat and more social features.
6. Better arcade games.
7. Wider selection of multiplayer games.
8. Xbox Live
9. Halo games
10. Natal

Dude. I appreciate the compliment, really. But what the h*** is your problem? If you don't like the 360, just don't post. Or if you MUST post, post something creative. You're not going to convince somebody to not be gay by going into a gay bar and talking about women. You're not going to make somebody hate the Dallas Cowboys by going to Texas and talking about how great the Green Bay Packers are. You're not going to convince a bunch of 360 owners that the 360 sucks by going into the "360 Love Thread" and telling people it sucks. There are threads for that. You don't need to hate the console in EVERY thread, do you?
I don't even understand why people like impulsivity post? Its like their blind to everything and only see what they want to see. The simple fact is that Sony went from being the most successful untouchable player in the gaming world to losing billions and being in last place in a ridiculously short period of time. The turn around was absolutely staggering. So how can you come into a thread and bash a console that has been a success in every sense of the word from outselling its previous iteration to being a massive software pusher and most importantly to posting a profit?
I don't even know why I wrote all that, everyone that knows impulsivity knows that he has a deep hatred for the 360. Elitism, just act really hard like your better than everybody else and maybe the won't see your insecurities...or maybe not.

You answered your own question. 
In no particular order...
1. Fans of the original Xbox came to the 360
2. Most affordable HD console (Especially compared to PS3 launch)
3. Strong exclusives (Most notably Halo and GoW)
4. Offers many popular PC games without the price of a high end PC
5. Huge focus on multiplayer (offline and online)
6. Huge focus as being a multimedia device (plays common movie codecs, DVD, Netflix, etc)
7. Head Start (Not a great start considering most of the launch titles are garbage)
8. Advertising up the ass
9. Everyone knows Microsoft
10. Appeals to core audience

may i ask what does Sony has to do with this thread? Why do you people need to mention sony in every singe MS discussion?
The simple fact is that MS went from making the most reliable and most powerfull console to making the system with highest failure rate in history of electronics.
