Basically this. To me, Bioware has basically been stuck in the KOTOR formula ever since, well, KOTOR.

I'd also rank Mask of the Betrayer above Dragon Age and possibly even the Witcher - Hell, I'd rank every Obsidian RPG above their Bioware counterparts.

Someone gave me this game for Xmas last year but haven't got time to play it yet...
I think Mass Effect is the best RPG I played this gen.

i really didnt like dragon age but that it just me...the battle system was boring to me but i loved the everything else, it seems good, ill give it a better shot next time i play it

but still Demon's souls>dragon age origins imo =p

Just turn the difficulty down to casual, whilst shameful, it does make it a lot more fun, as you can just concentrate on the story

My list for best RPG's this gen would be as follows:
1. Fallout 3
2 Oblivion (I liked both of these game so much I bought them for each console.)
3. Dragon Age: Origins
4. Demon's Souls
5. Mass Effect

I don't have a good enough computer to play any PC RPGs though. And truthfully the top 4 are the only ones I really loved. Mass Effect had too many problems and only shows up because there hasn't been another incredible RPG that I loved this gen. Until Tuesday!
