What movie do you think will win Best Picture in 82nd Academy Awards?

Inglorious Basterds 16 16.00%

Avatar 44 44.00%

Up in the Air 8 8.00%

Precious 2 2.00%

The Hurt Locker 24 24.00%

Other 6 6.00%

Total:100

Sorry, it's just how I feel about the awards. They seem to take an issue they want people to think they care about, and promote it with an award.

The movie is about a poor black unattractive woman. Of course the rich white beautiful people want to give it an award. Look how much better people they are now for it?

A few years back, if you threw a gay man in a picture, you got an award for it. Now it's poor black people. Just pisses me off.

Almost forgot, I would really want Sunshine Cleaning to win but it will be ignored

Warrior of Light #66

"I'm not illiterate, my parents were married!"

3DS FC: 2878 9589 2016

I would say Avatar but I feel like the Hurt Locker might have a chance.

Have you ever watched Dances with Wolves? Avatar has almost the exact same plot. The effects in Avatar are amazing, but I think the dark horse, Inglourious Basterds, will upset Avatar.

Have you ever read Heart of Darkness?

Imperialism has been a theme in literature for well over a century, and this type of story is hardly new.  There's really no such thing as an original story.  That's why what makes a story valuable is not the story itself, but how it's told.

What movies about poor black people have been winning awards lately? I really don't remember. Hell Precious hasn't won any major awards this season either. Hurt Locker IB and Avatar have eaten them all up. The last I can think of is the Great Debators which won the Golden Globe but then again fuck the Golden Globes.

Please Watch/Share this video so it gets shown in Hollywood.

The people saying Dances with Wolves obviously haven't seen A man called horse or any other previous iteration of the same story.
As Tarheel91 pointed out, what makes a story valuable is not the story itself, but how it's told.

My money is on Hurt Locker.

Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego.

Patiently waiting for:  Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2

They're doing ten nominees this year.

Precious
Hurt Locker
Up In The Air
Avatar
Star Trek
District 9
Inglorious Basterds
500 Days of Summer
The Blind Side

and... Up?

Obviously the movie staring the fat ugly black chick.

If the question what what movie SHOULD win, and not what movie WILL win, I have to go with IB.

As for avatars story, I feel I have seen it before... (spoiler alert)

Yes, because movies starring fat ugly black chicks always win all the awards.

I've only seen Avatar and Basterds (seeing Hurt Locker tonight).

Of the two I've seen I've got to give it to Basterds. Just an incredible movie. But the Oscars have nothing to do with being a good movie so... who knows what will win.

Oh yeah, Up was fantastic too.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
