That's how ugly mother fuckers on this site get browny points by shitting on IGN which is more organized and more accepted by the vg society. This site has 50 ppl and everyone else is banned

I don't care what they say, I still don't like them.  I haven't for years.  They could give SMG2 a perfect score and I still wouldn't care. Here's a few reasons:

1) Matt was always a bit of an elitist, but now he doesn't even hide it anymore.  He's a smug little prick who thinks he holds some sort of godlike power over the industry and that Nintendo should do everything that he wants.  He'd have run the company into the ground by now if they listened to him.

2) Daemon.  Do I even have to say anything about him?  He's a terrible writer who rarely backs up his "opinion" with any solid argument and seems to review games simple based on how far along in his menstrual cycle he is.

3) Their video player was horrendous for years.  True, it's better now, but I've moved on.

4) Their forum software is a primitive piece of crap.

5) They expect me to give them money for a subscription to things I can get elsewhere for free.

6) They've always had a habit of going days or even weeks without updating anything on their Nintendo channel.  There's plenty of other places that provide better news coverage.

7) I've disagreed with most of their reviews for years.

So, my dislike of IGN is not because of the recent Nintendo-Bashfest that the site has turned into, but it certainly has made me not regret leaving.

So now instead of consoles, we have people blindly defending websites?

Shouldn't this be discussed, idk, using the PM system? Its not against forum rules, as we both know, but there could some questions raised of the professionality of our admins. I'm not one that should be pointing this out, due to me ripping apart clan members and users on my old websites, but VGC is or very well should be a more professional place then a clan website or an anime download website so we should all act a bit more accordingly.

This also goes for our users. VGChartz is a website that dedicated to bringing professional retail tracking to the game industry and our community as a whole should also act accordingly. This is not the rink-a-dink, random little crap video game forums or webpages thrown together by a group of nerds in their grandmother's basement. Its ok to be comical, funny, sarcastic at times. Its ok to be argumentative to a point, but you must state your facts or atleast to us as to where you base your opinions from.

You people need to take in your surroundings and raise the bar of the professionality of not just yourselfs, but our amazing community as a whole.

Now I do suggest that this thread be locked due to this being in the incorrect section. This thread is better suited for either gaming or off-topic.

I just wanted everyone to know, that IGN and it's HD videos can go fuck themselves because you can get FREE HD video on GameTrailers.

I actually agree with ssj12. This is in the wrong section, and it's flamebait as well.

So its okay for there to be hundreds of 'IGN RATES X GAME!!!' and 'IGN gives opinion about X game!!!' threads yet people who have a negative opinion about their reviews/articles have to keep their mouth shut?  That's a pretty hypocritical statement when I can't come on VGChartz nearly any day without seeing dozens of IGN based threads.  The fact that there's negative opinions against IGN is most likely just backlash to the huge influx  of these threads, always bringing up IGN as if its the end all resource for gaming news.

Frankly, I'd rather we just stop mentioning review sites altogether.  I find the majority of the negativity comes from the review sites themselves, not the people who 'hate' the review sites.

IGN isn't disliked because of their low scores to games we like.

IGN is disliked because of their constant trolling for getting hits. I mean you had the Nintendo podcast dedicated entirely to trolling Nintendo fans. They don't even bother to hide it. Harris even admitted they do that only for hits.

IMO they should hire some professionals who are actually excited about covering gaming news.
