^^ selnor which game chose IGN?

i'm agree that the it's a huge jump from the first one in terms of graphics and it's pretty close to uncharted 2...but imo killzone 2 takes the crown for best-looking game and with that ME2 is nowhere near the amount of stuff being rendered in the screen with so much detail and jaw-dropping graphics...
but like i said it's my opinion, and even if selnor it's a pretty good 360 supporter, i can see why he's saying that ME2 it's the graphics king.

Surpasses Uncharted 2?  Probably not?  Killzone 2?  I think so.

I have played the PS3 games through start to finish, I'll do the same with ME2.

According to IGN though, it's pretty clear which they favour at this point.

It must just be me, but that vid that is "720P" doesn't look so good and there are a lot of compression artifacts. It's really hard to tell the graphic detail level.

Now, the epicness that is ME2 is undeniable. I played through ME1 twice, loving every second and I'm getting this pronto.

Yes, the game is miles ahead of the competition. The competition being games like Dragon Age: Origins, and other third person rpg's. Uncharted isn't competition, so better luck next time :/

All this back forth over what IGN meant is laughable. Usually in a review on IGN or any site, when they say the competition they mean across all platforms. Otherwise there is a qualifier such as "the best graphics on 360" or "the best graphics on PS3" There was no qualifier so that implies they mean period. The most recent example of this is the No More Heroes 2 review. When the reviewer says

"Graphics 9.0

Some of the best visuals on the system, complete with a great overall style. Some graphical errors occur, but the unique design shines through."

You are entitled to disagree. I'll wait until I actually play the game myself to judge. I have KZ2 so I can compare it and ME2 directly. Reviewers and posters heaped massive praise on MGS4's graphics and I know I disagreed. I thought Uncharted was leagues better. To each his own.

well I am getting a laptop before I go to uni, but thats like 5 months away & who knows what specs I'll need for this, I don't think I'll get a crysis specs level laptop!

On the graphics issue, yes they are amazing, but seeing the first 30 min of FFXIII as well, I'd say FF13's graphics are better & probably uncharted 2's as well. BUt who cares the dramatic scenes & music + atmosphere all combined make this game shine!

The REAL question is selnor, will YOU like this MORE than FORZA 3?!!!!!!!

@ Darc Requim. Thanks. Someone actually isnt trying to spin what they said. They did mean all platforms. It's just some cant believe the 360 is actually as powerful overall.

@ selnor: spinning is also what you are doing with their words. It's not sure that the reviewer is using "the competition" as "everything ever on consoles" for example. The writer for NMH2 specified, making it easier to identify. We have no idea what the one for ME2 meant, as it wasn't specified. You're guessing just as much as the others are guessing the other way. The implication of the word "competition" in this sentence is ambiguous. Failing to recognize that (from any side) is just being stubborn imho.

so how is it "miles ahead" if it score lower in graphics than U2 again? Im not even gonna bother wasting my time with sum BS arguement so till you can answer me how can sumthing that scores lower in visuals be miles ahead just shut it I dont want no excuses.

IGN simply said the graphics are the best yet on consoles.

It is one IGN reviewer's opinion, but it is most certainly what he said. He's played it, we haven't.
