This is Michael Shorrock. I’m the Director of 3rd Party Relations at SCEA. As you may have seen this morning/last night on GameHead with Geoff Keighley, we are announcing that a new franchise from Rockstar Games will be exclusive to PS3. As part of our long standing relationship with Rockstar, and the incredible success for both companies with the cultural icon that is Grand Theft Auto, we’ve agreed to the PlayStation exclusive rights of the next great franchise from the Rockstar studios.

Everyone knows to have success in this business you need to look ahead, identifying the talent and titles that are going to give consumers new kinds of gaming experiences that help set the bar for the rest of the industry. Rockstar has a heritage for doing just that. We have had incredible success with the GTA franchise and are happy to continue to offer those titles on our platforms, and even more excited about what’s to come from the current and future relationship between our companies. Rockstar really wanted to make a game that you can truly only do on PS3, harnessing the power of CELL and Blu-ray disc and this deal lets them do just that.. This is really a win-win situation for both companies. As Jack mentioned in the interview with Geoff, this franchise is not LA Noire, but something all new. We agreed with Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive Software that we wouldn’t disclose anything more about the deal or title at this time, so stay tuned, we’ll share more info as soon as we can.


All this is saying is that the title they are talking about is an unannounced title that we have not heard of yet. It doesn't say that LA Noire is not a exclusive game. It does not say that it went multi plat.

If L.A.Noire was multiplat, it wouldn't be mentioned here. L.A.Noire was an already announced PS3 exclusive. This was added in to clear confusion and make it clear that it was another exclusive that they were talking about. If L.A.Noire was multiplat there would be no need for this.

If it were announced a ps3 exclusive then why is there no mention of the PS3 in both team Bondi's page of L.A Noire and Rockstar's page of L.A Noire if it were so concrete like you said?

If its concrete, why mention it? ;P

it may be multi... thats not what we are arguing. what we are arguing is its only been announced for the ps3 and sony was funding it.. if its gone multi plat its not officially announced yet. therefor it is pure speculation to believe it.

maybe sony dropped the project. who knows. all we know is that its been announced for ps3 only and sony at one point was paying for the whole project.

Just for the record, i wasn't really frustrated. I just decided to give up since I noticed there's just no convincing the dude.

Is there a link to were it says La Noir is announced for the 360?

Also.. about surfergirl spreading rumors about a 360 version. I found this:
* The game will be a free-roaming title with a historically-accurate recreation of Los Angeles in 1947.
* Team Bondi has even hired a costume designer to research the clothing of the era so the game's attire can be accurate.
* Aside from main story, side missions will be based on actual cases pulled straight of the newspapers of 1947.
* A US Marine plays a big role in the story.
* Not so exclusive...but LA Noire definitely ain't coming to Xbox 360, the size of the game is an obstacle to this.

Can I be supplied a link from Team Bondi that announced L.A. Noire as a PS3 exclusive? I don't mean a current link. Even an outdated one from years back will do.
