Clearence sales are not affecting the PS3 and 360, maybe software but not hardware. Great Job to Sony ounce again. Its all uphill from here

Nice for Wii, PS3 and DS.
Ok for 360 and PSP.
PS3 over 200k after four months... when it will fall??? Over 360 64k (very good).
PS360 GAP: 5.33M
SOFTWARE
* Forza 3 and Uncharted 2 selling good yet (legs).
* New Super Mario Bros. Wii really good.
* Modern Warfare 2 for PS3 and 360 so close (next week PS3 > 360 version?).
* Uncharted 2 = 2,743,442 and Uncharted = 2,980,480 - 3M sooo.
* GT5 Prologue over 20k yet (legs)
* Modern Warfare (the first) = 4,998,203 (hi next week).

It's up by a lower margin every week, so unfortunately the trend is down, not up.

It's down worse in others than america. Ironically, after early last year, Japan is now what is saving Wii while the West is bringing it down.

People having received money for Xmas could have waited for them to maximize what they can get. And PS3 120GB occasional and temporary shortages are now over. When clearance sales end sales will worsen until the biggest 2010 games start being released, though.

Excellent sales for the PS3 though, $300 really is the magical price point. With the PS3 still matching 360 sales after the holidays in NA, is Microsoft starting to feel any pressure to cut the price of the 360? I wouldn't be surprised if the Elite drops in price by $50 before too long. |
In fact, in terms of revenue, PS360 are slightly down YoY. Wii is down much more though, thanks to that price cut...

sony is becoming a playa' again. the quality of the ps3 should never had been in doubt. just had been to pricey for most. the ps3 will definately surpass 360 by the end of 2010

Just Dance had its best week in EU ever (126,953). EVER. This is after holiday sales. The game cannot be stopped.
