Forums - Gaming Discussion - Zipper: Xbox Live "more juvenile" than PSN

I'm not buying MAG because nobody will have a headset. Communication is essential for squad based shooters. Without it the game will become a huge clusterfuck.

Headset's are bundled and did you somehow miss the beta cause why haven't you made you're mind up yet

The difference between the 360 and the PS3 is that the PS3 is mostly hardcore gamers while the 360 has a stronger presence of teenage gamers next to its hardcore gamers. Mostly because the 360 is cheaper and it has more games suited for this new breed of gamers. But if PSN hopes to grow to XLive's size then they will get these kind of gamers aswell as by now all hardcore gamers have a ''nextgen'' console already. It makes Live more chaotic then PSN but it also makes it feel more alive. But even with PSN being possibly more mature it is doubtful your going to find over 100 players on each side willing to shut up and follow orders. MAG could still fail because of that, if it is able to get 90% of the players to work together then I'm sure it would also succeed on Live aswell. But that is IF it will succeed, just because most people on PSN don't have a headset to shout in doesn't mean they are that much more mature.

your gonna need this

I say it's about time Sony devs start trash talking. I remember a lot of crap being spewed by Gabe Newell and Peter Molyneux a few months ago.

lol...thats the dumbest comment I've seen in months.

1. it singles out a group of people using a service and calls them juvenile
2. he assumes that people don't know how to use the "mute" option
3. it insults the largest FPS console community and
best online service on the market right now

We all know its a PS3 exclusive and that kissing ass of your userbase will prolly help sales...but hes just sounding like an ignorant jackass.

lol

no.

Not only are there plenty of online services for the pc on the market. The ps3's online service is of equal value. Though it has different strengths and weaknesses.

Do you really this is a appropriate thread where we should argue the Steam vs XBL vs PSN topic?

this article so true!! screw those Xbots with all the whining and b*tching, nothing like us PS3 owners!!!(/sarcasm)

I'm pro Sony but this comment Zipper did wasn't necessary.

Every online platform would be a service in this case ay ?

meaning every single different pc platform would be on it's own merit. Every game with online play.. Who's talking about steam.

Check out my game about moles ^

Yes the XBox 360 has more headsets, which means more idiots can be heard, but I definitely think the Xbox 360 also has more idiots because of an overall younger fanbase.

The 360 has always been the cheaper system, so high school kids are more likely to own it and parents were more likely to pick it over the 360 for their kids as well. Although the peak of stupidity for me was Halo 2, got to a point where I only played private matches. (which were all-around more fun anyway)

They both have their idiots and generally annoying people.

Since I don't have an Xbox 360 I can't really compare with Xbox Live, but I generally don't hear a whole lot of crap coming from people in games like Killzone 2 or the MAG beta for example. I'd say I hear more annoyances with stuff like conversations and babies crying than I would hear somebody being racist and such though an angry "what the hell!" will occasionally blast from my TV's speakers from time to time.

Though I suppose it's more based on the game and how popular it is. The Halo or Call of Duty series will probably bring out more of the offensive and annoying idiots than other games. I'm sure the popularity of the system, like the Xbox 360 in the US for example, plays a part in that as well as the widespread use of mic's with the Xbox 360 too.
