I expect all consoles (except PS3) do go even further on the YoY drop in the coming weeks, effectively ending the hopes of those who expect this year to be the best ever sales-wise

as expected .... it is a draw between the PS3-360

and it is now confirmed that without the exclusive bundle MW2, the Wallmart deal, and the cheap arcade sku, the 360 would not have dominated in NA these holidays ...

remember 360 got a special 40 euros price cut in europe from the 14/01 to the 04/02 (I think)

so the +100k is not guaranted

We can also expect japan sales to slowly collapse

square-enix CEO wada was right Ps3 Slim will have greater affect in 2010 and here is the proof PS3 stable power but what about 360 MASS EFFECT 2 is on the way

well, I do believe ME2 will a good effect on hardware sales

it is not new IP but it is still very good hardcore experience that is console exclusive !

yep, 5.4 M > 5.32 M

I do believe MS will do special offer WW in feb or march.

Indeed. The current gap is the smallest ever at 5.35m... so since the ps3 has been available it has sold more than the 360.

Even the most ardent PS3 fan must admit it is surprising it has taken 3 years for a Playstation to show its ability to outpace an Xbox.

Next goal is to actually ovcertake the 360 I guess.  That could be tougher.

It brings an entirely new type of fight to the table I guess. "how long before it closes to ..." or "when will xbox 360 start its assault again"-type of threads will be popping up again now.
