Indeed. The current gap is the smallest ever at 5.35m... so since the ps3 has been available it has sold more than the 360.

Even the most ardent PS3 fan must admit it is surprising it has taken 3 years for a Playstation to show its ability to outpace an Xbox.

Next goal is to actually ovcertake the 360 I guess.  That could be tougher.

It brings an entirely new type of fight to the table I guess. "how long before it closes to ..." or "when will xbox 360 start its assault again"-type of threads will be popping up again now.
