I guess I can buy that, but people should want to a console with the best games to do the best (which I guess some people believe that's the PS3 but I personally don't), not simply the underdog. It's weird talking about Sony as an underdog when just 4 years ago they were singlehandedly dominating this industry.. I'm still used to defending the GC which was a huge underdog for 5 years. How times change...

Don't you know by now is PS3 wins by any amount less then 50% it's a statistical tie while if X360 beats PS3 by even a couple units the PS3 is doomed and Sony has failed.

Early 2009 was such a great time. 360 would sell like 101K, but since the PS3 was below the almighty 100K (like 92K), then it was doomed....even though it was only outsold by 9K on average....

Unlikely but not impossible. M$ certainly wont be sitting there staring as sony breezes by. As per the site's users, I find that its actually one of the better and well moded gaming forums on the interweb. It's real bad out there.

lol 360 the better value, games quality can be argued (easily in PS3 favor imo) but value come on.  Every one know PS3 is the better value, thats why its out selling the 360.  360 needs to be half the price, then its might and i stress might be a better value.

no it was becasue only a few years ago the ps3 was doomed. sony should and would eventually leave the industry. and well so much for that crap and by the looks of things sony will not only survive, but beat the 360, so the guys who were all for ps3 from the beginning are having a well deserved laugh

Why do you guys celebrate when 360 or PS3 beat each other? Is Microsoft/Sony giving you a cut from the money they earn?

Heh, is hilarious that people even argue for this stuff. Knowing the numbers its ok, but arguing/celebrating when one beat the other. . . *sigh*

children cant  drink champagne, in my case i would get my finest wine =).

dont be sad about the PSP, it may do in japan enough to pass 360 sales :p

No, you are wrong. The ps3 was not the underdog, never. And only fanboys thought that the ps3 was doomed and was not going to outsell the X360.

 

They want the ps3 to win b/c they are sony fans (with all due respect of course) and they thought that after ps2, it was gonna be an easy win for the ps3. But it wasn't. Still, I believe that MS accomplished a lot, and it's already a winner against sony in this generation. The ps brand lost a lot of terrain that the X360 won. But at the end we all know Ps3 > X360.
