I was trying to explain to a friend why Super Metroid was possibly the best game on the SNES (he loves A Link to The Past & Super Mario RPG). And I came upon a bit of a blank. I just remember that after fnding everything, I had the most honest to goodness, heartwarming feeling of accomplishment at the end of the game. Any ideas what else I might have been missing in describing this gem.

Yes I am downloading it on Wii VC as soon as I get my next paycheck.

It's a freaking badass game. The whole searching for hidden upgrades, the bosses, the levels, everything about this game is great. They way just have to use every ability Samus gets, it's just an awesome game. That's why I have my hopes really high about Metroid the other M.
I hope I'm gonna have the same feeling that I had about playing NSMBW. For me, the best metroid so far has been Super Metroid SNES. Hopefully the other M can pass the test.

Definitely my favorite Metroid game and potentially favorite on SNES.

Just an intriguing, fun game.

It has great gameplay.

It has great atmosphere and presentation.

It's just challenging enough without being frustrating.

It has a lot of exploration.

It has plenty of action paced at just the right amount.

So five great things right there.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
