PS3 motion device is system's 'de facto' controller

Sony has said that its new PS3 motion device will become the de facto' controller for PS3.

Peripheral to be 'vigorously promoted', says Sony

The company added that it would be promoting the peripheral 'vigorously' and that it would "deploy various measures to enhance the software title line-up for the Motion Controller, delivering groundbreaking interactive entertainment only possible on the PS3 platform."

Personally for me this is a NAY.

I would prefer it if thise was not PS3's de facto controller, I really like the dualshock, I've loved it for 15 years, I don't want to let go!

Do you want this to become PS3's de facto controller, or do you prefer Dualshock 3?

The only controller that feels comfortable in my hand is the Dualshock Controller. Anything else is not fit for me!

I don't care about Sony's games, I don't have a PS3, but for observing the Industry, it will be a lot more exciting path if it's true, wether it will be a huge success or failure.

Well I along with probably 75%+ other PS3 owners will not buy an arc/gem/wand/pos. I hate motion controller. I play games to relax so if I wanna get "exercise" I'll go outside and play a sport.

You will still have the dualshock 3 in ONE hand, if SONY sticks to the control scheme, the AWKWARD control scheme they showed at TGS.

i sure hope this doesnt happen, i love the dual shock controller and would hate sony if they truly want this too happen.

so there saying this is going to replace the dualshock?? i hope that isnt what it means, i hate moion control HATE it so i hope not. keep the dualshock 3 man.
