NPD’s confirmed that Wii Play is the biggest-selling game of all time in the US, with Guitar Hero III and GTA: San Andreas coming second and third respectively.

No exact sales figures were given for the top ten games on the list, but it was confirmed back in October that Wii Play had sold over 11.1 million units, with 10.3 million units of GH3 moved and San Andreas selling 9.8 million units.

Thanks to massive sales in November and December, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 gets itself on the list in fourth, with the original MW in seventh and Treyarch’s World at War at nine.

Sad, really sad. Wii Play is a bad game. Pity Wii Fit won't have the chance to overtake it. Maybe WSR or MW3 in the future? Highly unlikely still.

BTW, wow @ Namco Museum! Talk about multiplat games...

A lot of places had Wii Play on sale for the same price as a controller which basically meant it was free.
