This, not saying that regular XIII has a bad battle system, its just that, a final fantasy game with kingdom hearts styled battles will be overall more fun and gaming quality.

i also like Versus faaar more then final fantasy XIII simply for its characters alone, i dislike nearly every single character in FFXIII except Snow, sahz and Serah... oh and the silver haired guy to.

in versus XIII every character revealed thus far i like, for example, Noctis and his boys remind me of the fantasy version of the backstreet boys, while the naughty girl reminds me of the cherub chick in my sig.

Versus Feels more like VII to me, while XIII feels more like X which is fine but i enjoyed all the VII games more then the two X ones...

I will be getting both FFXIII and FFversusXIII but im kind of tired of the stereotypical FF games like FFXIII and it looks like FFversusXIII offers something different with a darker theme and atmosphere...

You know, the more I hear people looking forward to Versus' "darker theme and atmosphere", the more I think it's just gonna be the same thing, but instead of regular whiny bright emo, we will get gothy dark emo. It's an FF game, a JRPG, I seriously doubt Squeenix have the chops to actually do something that isn't emo-y. I hope there are more details at E3 or something.

I don't understand if you're looking forward to any of the two games or if you dislike FF and JRPG's at all.

I used to love Jrpgs and FF, but as I got older I started getting tired of the ridiculous childish dialog, always being a 14 year old kid saving the world, and the general emo-ness of jrpgs, and particularly FF. I loved FF6 and FF7, but hated FF8, and then spent a few years out of FF and consoles.

I was interested in FF13, but with the articles and reviews I was disappointed with it, it seems dumbed down. Like i said in the previous page, I'll still get it, but when it drops to half price or something.

But I cannot see Square Enix doing a real, mature, thoughtful, dark FF. I'm pretty sure it's just gonna mean gothy dark emo, like I said. That doesn't mean I'm not interested in it, I'm just saying people are deluding themselves if they think it's gonna be that different from a "regular" FF.
