There's a first time for everything!

This, it's bound to happen soon. 

WC since 1930:

-10 times in Europe

-8 times outside of Europe

- European nation in the final: 16 out of 18 WC finals

- 9 European wins .... a European nation wins the WC 50 % of the time.

- The only South American nation to win outside of South America is Brazil. (Edit: Argentina won in Mexico)

I remember the '94 final. I was also in France during the '98 world cup and Japan for the '02 world cup so I remember those (and funnily enough, neither time I actually went there because of the world cup).

But I thought it was strange thinking about the '06 because I remember some of the matches as though they happened just a couple of months ago, it's hard to think they took place four years ago. It made me feel as though four years have just shot by.

Of course I'm going with Portugal.
We got excellent players such as the worlds nº1 Cristiano Ronaldo, also Quaresma that plays on manchester united.

Oh I misread your statement, I read it as something else. Very true bout SA teams winning outside of SA. My bet is still on Brazil. The Cup has been outside of Europe almost half the time and they didn't win a single one. I never said anythign about going to finals though. My bet is a Spain v Brazil.
