I'm actually not surprised by that. I won't rain on the Mario parade, but Nintendo has never really had any experience with this kind of thing before. The game's obviously got high demand and it's the first time they've really offered a high-demand game as digital download.

Actually if the demand is high on digital this will shut down the myth that digital sales on Japan is non-existent.

Either that or Nintendo's server couldn't handle the surge in demand (First time for everything!)
