Yeah, I guess you're right. Dragon Quest is still the bigger IP in Japan, but I don't think a DQ console release has a chance to outsell a new MH portable game.

There is no chance in hell DQX will outsell MH4 since DQX is a MMO.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Of yeah, I didn't even think about the fact it's a console vs. handheld battle in Japan of course. Of course I doubt Nintendo is complaining sense they are both exclusive to a Nintendo platform. It'll be interesting if Capcom announces Monster Hunter 4 for the Vita.

That would close the deal on the battle, with the clear victor being MH4.
