For these two (and Mario Kart), there's something to say.
This week has demonstrated that when a console has a great momentum early in its life, mass market games can have a certain amount of preorders, but they can still do a lot more than what pt say.
Super Mario 3D Land, for example: it did 60pt higher than the first Galaxy, 50pt lower than the second, but in the end it had a better debut than Galaxy 2, and so the best debut for a 3D Mario EVER.
Following the first Galaxy's ratio, it should have done 326k, but it did even more.
Other example: Slime Mori Mori 3, which came out of nowhere and did almost the same debut of the second.
This due to great hardware sales, and great momentum as a whole which brings also great software sales.
Even Nicola did 7k, not so distant from the debut of the prequel (17k...and since this ended with 110k, it's a game with legs).
So, considering hardware sales can be awfully high this December, mass market games will do good even without an amount equal or only a bit lower than what their prequels did.
