Yes. But , why is a golden week?

Golden Week (ゴールデンウィーク Gōruden Wīku?), often abbreviated to simply GW and also known as Ōgon Shūkan (黄金週間?, "Golden Week") or "Large Consecutive Holiday" (大型連休 Ōgata Renkyū?) is a Japanese term applied to the period containing the following public holidays: April 29th, May 3rd, May 4th and May 5th.

Many Japanese take paid time off on the intervening work days, but some companies also close down completely and give their employees time off. Golden Week is the longest vacation period of the year for many Japanese jobs. Two other holidays may also be observed for most or all of a week: Japanese New Year in January and Obon Festival in August. Golden Week is an extremely popular time to travel. Flights, trains, and hotels are often fully booked despite their significantly higher rates at this time. Popular foreign destinations in Asia, Guam, Saipan, Hawaii, and major cities on the west coast of North America, such as Los Angeles, Seattle, San Diego, San Francisco, and Vancouver, as well as in Europe and Australia, are affected during these seasons by huge numbers of Japanese tourists.

Ah, sorry. It's mentioned so often on these forums that I thought you'd know. I was a bit confused about your confusion, lol.

It's just a holiday week in Japan, sales usually go up during this week because most people are on vacation. Although they plummet after that.

I was just pointing out that preorders are slow despite this.

Yup expecting some nice numbers then.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

Looks like outside of SMT, no-one likes to pre-order.

We really need a Pokemon or Monster Hunter around here.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Lately this thread has been as boring as NintendoPie's love life.
