Wow that is an unreal gain for Tomodachi, and not even a weekend. Wonder what triggered that!

And lol DQX HD dropped away on Amazon already too.

yea 16 points! Not even a weekend or 2 weeks left! I think i'll get #s to compare it to Luigi Mansion cuz at this rate the FW looks like it'll open 300k+(dont forget Tomodachi can be bought via bundle so technically it'll be more like how SS was on Vita O.o)

Very unexpected from Tomodachi and poor DQX.
Also Looking at Amazon, I did not expect the current #1 to chart where it is right now.

Not really, considering the preorder just opened. You get a large initial wave, and then usually calm until the last couple weeks. Etrian Odyssey has a good size fanbase in Japan, like Atlus games in general.

To give it some credit, at least it didn't fell of the chart.

I did not takw that into account. Gosh, I have to think more through this kind of stuff. Maybe it's the time, since it is 00:26 in Sweden right now.

yeap your right! It only counts as very very very good if it maintains up in the top like that Jojo game! Tomodachi Collection Bundle was at #1 for like 2 days straight then whoosh out of the top 100

After the first game, sales have been remarkably constant for the Etrian Odyssey series.
EO1: 31k/122k
EO2: 85k/145k
EO3: 94k/139k
EO4: 97k/134k

The first week sales have been rising little by little. Overall sales appear to be declining but that's mostly due to being newer, after a couple years they will sit around the same number. I think New EO has a good chance to open around 100k, and settle around 150k.

Summon Night 5 is going to be huge.

How huge? lol Like 200K lifetime? It's some big numbers (in line with previous mainline games), but not "huge".

Shining Arc was big at COMG chart before release, but first week sales were "meh".

"Dragon Quest will leave the chart with the same amount of points it entered it, lol."

Looks like it, maybe +1 or so. But it's highest charted new Wii U game on Amazon Japan since console release -- now at #7. 42,000 yen hardware bundle also rising and Wii U Premium Edition first time in months returned to top 30. That's not bad news for the system.

@

Luigi's Mansion selling ot in some stores again (2nd week info)

Also, retailers slashed Metal Gear Rising price (first shipment still unsold...)

Summon Night is a popular series in Japan and it's a very anticipated sequel after many years on hiatus. A lot of people didn't even expect a 5th game after Flight-Plan shut down due to poor sales on DS. Now Bandai Namco is putting a lot of resources behind the new game, even getting ufotable to do the animation. There's already TV advertisements and promotions from the beginning of this month.

I understand it, but I can't see its selling more than 200K or so. We'll see.

[PS1] Summon Night 2 (Banpresto) - 76,328 / 139,755
[PS1] Summon Night (Banpresto) - 18,426 / 58,743
[PS1] Summon Night [PSOne Books] (Banpresto) - 3,430 / 49,988

[PS2] Summon Night 3 (Banpresto) - 152,285 / 230,299
[PS2] Summon Night 4 (Banpresto) - 116,761 / 182,669

"poor sales on DS"

DS got 2 remakes (of 1 and 2) and 2 spin-offs (action RPG and turn based RPG). They both sold like 50K. And remakes @

[NDS] Summon Night (Banpresto) - 43,842 / 69,076
[NDS] Summon Night 2 (Banpresto) - 28,188 / 51,568

PSP got remakes of 3 and 4 (originally more popular games that 1 and 2)

Summon Night 3 debuted on PSP with 50K last october and quickly dropped, Summon Night 3 started with 40K.

Not a big difference between DS and PSP here.

well.. DS and PSP games were just Ports.. so I think SN5 could be better being a whole new entry on the series... I'm not sure if still fans but PSP market is still healthy for these type of games... so probably 100-150k souldn't hard to mark..
