I would get it on the 360 to build the the libary but the 360 version has manditory install and the ps3 doesen't so ... yeah.

Mandatory install on 360? I highly doubt it. Maybe on the PS3 ala MGS4.

Since 360 is my only HD console so obviously ill be getting this version.

sorry I have to post again, and I apoligize if I say somethig hurtful, and I'm going to direct this at the Sony fanboys.

The 1 vs. 3 disc arguement is really really annoying. It's similar to arguing 1 cartridge vs. 3 disc (ps1 and N64 era). Now I'm gonna compare 2 games from that era that aren't the same. By that arguement, that's like saying that ALL GAMES ON THE N64 are better than ANY GAME ON THE PS THAT HAD AT LEAST 2 DISC. Sound stupid, right? well this is how everyone saying that sounds to me.

had to rant. :S

No install for Final Fantasy XIII on PS3

If you were planning on making yourself a nice sandwich for your first session of Final Fantasy XIII, it looks like you'll have to make it before you pop the disc in your PS3. According to IGN, director Motomu Toriyama told Famitsu that FFXIII will not require an install on PS3. Furthermore, other than the transition between town and field segments, the game won't feature any loading screens at all. Toriyama stated that loading time was one of the biggest concerns from the beginning of development.

We're sure there were at least a few folks out there looking forward to watching a Chocobo take a smoke break. Alas, it just wasn't meant to be.

Well I have both consoles and I most likely will get the 360 version for the simple facts that I like achievements more than trophies and

cause I want to support the 360 version, Lackluster sales on 360 will = to less Square-Enix games on the console

Not getting it at all, however if i was i'd get it for my PS3 over my 360 because i didn't like the swaping from Star Ocean: the last hope, it was actually really annoying.

Hope you enjoy it though nightwish, aswell as the rest of you 360 owners, good finally see'n support for the 360 version round' here.

Dude could you just friggin buy FFXIII please? I mean....you bought an Xbox 360 just to play the next Star Ocean....and you're not even going to buy FFXIII? YOU'RE KILLING ME :'(

Star Ocean: The Last Hope was one of the reasons why i bought a 360, it was a real big one at the time though that much is for certain.

However Tri-Ace released a decent game in a decent amount of time... Square did not do this, i dont support games that take around 5 years to make regardless of reason, because there is NO excuse. sorry pride, theres no convince'n me, hope you and everyone else here has a blast with it though.

don't you own Killzone 2?

No, thats another game that took to long to get here, so i dont support that aswell. i have Played the game at my bros house i will say that, but i dont own it. not gonna be a hypocrite for the sake of it all.

wow,not supporting games that take 5 yrs to make seems kinda dumb. If a game takes 16 weeks like GOW collection, or 4-5 yrs it doesn't matter to me as long as the game is good.

Hell ,if Duke Nukem Forever came out next week i'd buy it if it was good and how long was that game being made. But to each there own, i just know that i won't miss out on any good games, regardless of dev time.

A game comes out when it's done. I don't make games and haven't the foggiest idea of how to program games. But i do know that alot of devs pour there heart and soul into games for long peroiods of time just to earn my and everyone else's 60 bucks. For making a good game, i'll gladly give them mine, regardless of how long it takes to make there quality game.

Main reason I am getting the PS3 version is because my console is backwards compatible and I like having all my PS Final Fantasy games running on one console.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

@2mrw you shouldn't say that, you don't know what everyone wants. Maybe someone own a PS3, just for playing Blu-ray movies, while they can use the 360 for just games. This is a hypothetical situations, but it's 1 of millions.

PEOPLE, you all shouldn't just assume that everyone is going to buy the PS3 version. What is the PS3 version cost like $100 and the 360 version cost lie $60? It might not happen, but it's a possibility.

Both versions will be priced equally.

Are you absolutely sure?

It was just an example.

Wait why would the PS3 version cost more? Wouldnt it be cheaper than 3 DVD's?

Mhm, but theres the golden word, You, not me, but you, you make think its dumb, but i think its a legit reason.

I do agree that its worth it if they pour there heart and soul into the game, however that only counts if your satisfied on the final product, you among many others may be happy with the end result, but frankly im not, not a damn bit'.

for the amount of time it took, i expected more overall in general.

Yes, i have not played it yet so dont use this against me, im judge'n on all the gameplay videos, all the spoilers of the story and everything we've all seen in general, and im simply not impressed.

now i would humbly appreciate if you guys would kindly stop letting my personal opinions on the game disturb you, it won't hinder your exp's with the game itself so no need to bother.

Euphoria14's reason for ... Xenogears i think it was? er.. anyway he said i am depriving my self of a great game, im sure it is but i dont see it as deprivation if i don't ... you know... care? :P (Im just using this as an example, so dont freak out Euphoria, i'll try it if you find me a cheap copy. :p)
