Yamauchi: GT5 to use “80%” of PS3’s power

Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi has estimated in an interview with Venturebeat that Gran Turismo 5 will use “80 percent” of PS3’s processing power.

Asked how much of the system’s capability the racer will use compared to Uncharted 2, Yamauchi replied: “It is about the same for the PS3, about 80 percent of the processing power.

“The PS3 hardware has a very high peak performance. The better you manipulate it, the better it performs.”

Yesterday, Sony delayed Gran Turismo 5, but only for Japan’s release in March.

There is no date yet for the US or Europe: something SCEE will be announcing “in due course.”

It was announced earlier this week that the GT Time Trial demo, seen as a taster for the full game, was downloaded over 1 million times since its launch in December last year.

So you say

NFS Shift > GT5 demo

And I say that

Forza 3 > NFS Shift

Does that mean

Forza 3 > GT5 Demo?

*sets poop on fire and runs away*

Hi im Yamauchi and im here to sell you GT5

:)

This is class A bullshit, Racing games dont do jack shit besides go in circles and if the PS3 is really maxed out by that then lmao.

CoolGamer.com says that FF13 > Forza 3

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

@Garnett, it sounds like you don't know anything about racing or driving.

I love BS comments like this, because they release them with the sole purpose to rile up fanboys

My question is, So it uses 80% huh? is that cause one of the spe's is locked away from you for system use so your really using 100% available to you, and 80% of what the ps3 has available?.....
