Forums - Sony Discussion - PS3 3D, just Glasses... work on any TV >200Hz

Yes Kantor... but now almost all LCD´s that are "top".. from Samsung, LG, Sony, Toshiba, has 240Hz.. so, it hurts... but as I see, major customers has 120Hz LCD Tv´s;

LED and LDP are OK to 3D at 200Hz. :)

Who the hell has a 200Hz TV?

And what do you mean $200? On top of the PS3 and this ridiculous 200Hz HDTV, they're going to charge us MORE?

Sometimes I think Sony doesn't learn.

Quite regularly i scratch my head at posts like yours. Is there a point to your post?.

I do, but it is only a 40 inch that cost £750 but it came with a HDMI cable made of gold ( i do know that gold HDMI cables do the job better than ordinary copper ones but the gold had me sold)

haha...funny.

yeah, source

I got some magic beans that will do 3D if you plant them in your garden.

200hz is for foreign tvs, pal, that scan at 50hz, ours will require 240 hz tvs since our system is based on 60 hz scan. The glasses are not polarized, they are lcd shuttered. Looks like i'll be going with a plasma, they have much higher refresh rates and therefore look the smoothest in 3d:

"It was at the LG booth, right before I took a look at their 3D plasma prototype, which is slated to be released later this year for $200 over a 2D model. And right when I was ready to give up on glasses, gimmicks and eyestrain, the experience wiped my memory of it all as I stood there transfixed for at least 5 minutes, disregarding the line behind me and watching the same remarkable animated clips over and over."

But if the HDI laser projector makes it to market this summer, i'll consider it also, since it sounds by far the best. Low power, uses three 1 watt lasers and LCD on silicon, refresh even better than plasma, up to 1,000hz! And I think this uses polarized instead of shuttered glasses. video here: http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/video?id=7013481

Your TV most likely can't do 3D but don't listen to what these people are saying.

You dont need 240 hz. Crazyness...

Yes, there is. I'm pointing out that 3D is a great idea, but if this is true, Sony is completely clueless as to how to execute it.

Don't call me a Sony hater, please. Save yourself the embarassment.
