yes I know but so far PS3 has not fallen below 200k since PS3 Slim came out, that has been a while now, and we have too many good games coming out for people to ignore buying a PS3 for a much more affordable price, might I add, it will eventually fall, but only after the next price cut for X360/Wii

Well the Slim/price cut did come out in the lead up to the holidays. Just like the Wii price cut, which was shortly after the PS3 one, the Wii hasn't fallen below 200k since then either and it was a smaller price cut (compared to the PS3) and there was no model redesign.

Now I wasn't very impressed with ME, and im sure ME2 will be much improved, but do you see ME2 making that big of an impact when it comes to selling 360s? Im not too sure.

I don't see 360 falling dramatically in the next few weeks but I don't think Mass Effect 2 is going to give much of a bump since it's the second game in the series on the system. Most likely the vast majority of people buying ME2 already own ME1 especially with the way the stories of the game interconnect based on your actions in the first game.

I'm amazed at how short-sighted people are being on PS3's sales.

The slow period will hit Q2-Q3 (until GT5 hits), and will look like this, at best:

Japan: ~30k
Americas: ~45k
Others: ~70k

I highly doubt it can avoid dipping under 140k, let alone 200k. Expecting a consistent 100%+ increase year over year is crazy.

I sure hope these keeps up for all gaming since it means that better games n more game would be developed . I hate the 360 ever since my rrod so I hope ppl won't buy that useless junk

I don't know, I think that for each platform we still need at least another 2-3 weeks to get an idea of how sales will settle for the dead period.

Assuming this trend continues, we have the PS3 outselling the 360 by 1.2 million units per year. With a ~5 million unit difference, the PS3 would outsell the 360 in 4 years. Let's suppose the PS3 does better than it's doing now and 360 stays constant and say the difference between the PS3 and 360 comes to be 2 million per year. Then we have to wait just about 2 years and 5 months for the PS3 to overtake the 360. We'll see how 2010 turns out.
