well from capcom's perspective they got all the money for the shipments long ago (1.1 million to be exact). We didn't need to wait for it to hit a million sell through. Famitsu, MC, and dengeki have it a little lower than vgchartz, but it'll pass it soon enougn on all of those. If they wouldn't have shipped too many at the start they could have had better legs and they also ruined the chance of a best price version.

All capcom was looking for was 1M SHIPPED and they been passed that for some time now, last update was they shipped 1,1M and that was a few months ago so it may have risen even higher;)

Really guys, y'all need to just get it up. I know some are upset that it's wasn't on PS3. But it's been months and you guys still want to call MH3 a flop. Really, guys. Get over it.

I wouldn't go as far as saying flop, but given the huge popularity this series has along with a large Wii install base in Japan, added to the sales of the portable cousins, this could have definitely sold more. I can't say much about the dev costs of the game, but I am sure it will do fine. Besides not all games need to be million sellers to be considered successful. It's all based on budget, marketing, etc. Look at Valkyria Chronicles and Demon's Souls, both aren't million sellers but they are considered successful. Both new IP's with very low development costs and very little marketing. Can also add that Demon's Souls hasn't been released in Europe.
